End of the Year Concert

On June 9 Kira had her last violin concert for the year. This one was only the orchestra from her school (not the whole district like the last one). Each of the kids got an opportunity to do a solo, which was fun. We were so proud of Kira for being brave enough to get up in front of all of those parents and play her little song! The lighting in the gym wasn't great, but here's a video clip!


On June 13 the girls were off to Maryland to see their dad. Kira is gone for a month, Katelyn is gone for two. I hate it when they are gone and can't wait til they come home, but I am trying to make some productive use of the time and get things done that always seem to be on the backburner. Since David doesn't get home from work until later in the evening, I am very much enjoying NO COOKING!!! Colton, Bryson, and Chey come back up on July 13 and Kira gets home July 14 so there probably won't be too much going on that is exciting enough to post on the blog until then...unless our dog or the guinea pigs do something spectacular!!!
