Pioneer Day

Kira decided she wanted to dress up like a pioneer for Pioneer Day (for those of you not familiar with it, it is a Utah State holiday on July 24). She sort of improvised for her costume, wearing one of her dresses with an old apron and a bonnet her Grandma made her several years ago. She walked around carrying her Charlotte doll (she got that from Santa last year...Charlotte was Laura Ingalls' doll...Kira's is a replica). We went to see "Nim's Island" at the dollar theater, which we really enjoyed, and Kira wore her pioneer costume to the theater. It was about 100 degrees and Kira could not understand how the pioneer women could stand so many layers of clothes. We also spent time with our favorite dogs...here's some video of their tricks!
