Soccer...and Birthday Wishes, too!

First of all-a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to my dad and my sister! Much love to you both!

Well, it's official. I am now a soccer mom. Until this past year the girls never really expressed much interest in soccer, but after going to a Real Salt Lake (pro soccer) game and also hearing how much Colton, Bryson, and Chey love soccer, they wanted to try it out. Since they were in Maryland over the summer, they had to wait for the fall soccer season. Katelyn's season doesn't start until next week (junior high league), but yesterday was Kira's first game and she LOVED it! She had never played soccer before and before the game she told me that she was going to ask the coach if she could just watch the first game so that she could figure out the rules. However, there weren't enough extra players for that, so she ended up playing the entire game. By the time it was over she was red-faced and her ankle was a bit sore, but for the rest of the afternoon she kept telling me how much fun it was and how she loved it.
