Help!
I need some help. I have massive guilt that I don't make enough "real" meals for my family. Too much take-out and quick stuff like grilled cheese, hamburger helper, whatever. I feel like it is something I need to do better at. The problem is after working a full day I am tired and really don't want to spend a bunch of time standing at the stove. I need some quick and easy recipes. I have some, of course, but they have been done to death. I love my crockpot, but don't have many recipes for that, either. If you have any good ones, email me, post them on your blogs, or put them in my comments section. There has got to be more creative food out there than the tired old dishes I keep making!!!

I keep thinking of putting recipes on my blog. Maybe I will start to do that.
Hummm, here is my first contribution:
Bow Tie Pasta and Peas
1 Jar Alfredo
1 bag Bow Tie pasta (or whatever)
5-7 oz. Peas (frozen is best)
Handful of crumbled Bacon
Cook pasta and throw in Peas, if frozen, for the last few minuets of boiling pasta. Drain and dump in jar of Alfredo and bacon. Toss...yum.
-I broil, crumble and freeze the whole package of bacon a head of time. That way it is ready when I need it for this and other meals.
P.S.

Hey...go to my blog and checkout Kari and Ed's link. Kari is Scott's cousin and she has posted a bunch of crock pot recipes and also just started a blog dedicated to recipes. We also have on occasion purchased meals from The Dinner Station or Super Suppers...not sure if you have those there in Utah, but you can either go and prepare the meals there or have them do it. Basically, they put meals together that you put in your freezer and then can pull out and put together.
Hope this helps!
i'm in the process of coming up with "meals for a month". meals to cook and freeze. my friend and i did this last month and it was pretty good. we're going to try some more new recipes this month. then i will email them all to you. it's so nice to pull a meal out of the freezer and not even think about what to cook!
