Last Tuesday we went to the Fablehaven 5 book launch party. We are big Fablehaven fans at our house and have been sooo excited and eager for this book (the final in the Fablehaven series) to come out! The party was at Cottonwood High School. The author, Brandon Mull, was there and so was the illustrator---they autographed books after the party. During the party there were performances by the University of Utah Fairy Dancers (ballet team), an improv group called DC Comedy (Brandon Mull used to be in it before he became an author), some entertainment by Shannon Hale (another author), and then of course...Brandon Mull. There were people dressed up as characters from the book like Muriel the witch, the Knights of the Dawn, and Dorin the satyr that also performed.



Before they brought Brandon Mull out, DC Comedy warmed up the crowd and threw lightsticks out to the audience. At different times during the show they turned out the lights so the kids could wave their lightsticks around to loud music...they really liked that.



I took pictures of the kids getting their books signed by Brandon Mull & the illustrator, but for some reason they aren't on my camera! Grrr....

Can't wait to read Fablehaven 5! Just gotta finish "Eclipse" first!
