In early December, Kira had her Christmas orchestra concert. The pictures and video were taken from kind of high up in the auditorium sitting because I had to sit strategically near an exit in case Maya started screaming. The beginning and advanced orchestras and beginning and advanced band performed. Maya slept through the orchestras, but the drums and horns in the band woke her up. Good thing she liked the music and didn't scream!
Kira is in beginning orchestra this semester and performed four songs with her group. She is in the back row on the left, second seat in. Next semester she is moving to advanced orchestra and is very excited about that. She and her friends don't like beginning orchestra because she thinks her teacher treats them like babies...case in point...one of their songs was "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". 'Nuff said.
