Buzzy Passing Away

On January 10, we lost Grandpa Buzzy (my step-dad). He was 70 years old and died quite unexpectedly. Grandpa Buzzy is deeply missed. The three girls and I went home to Iowa for his funeral...Dave stayed behind to work since he has no paid time off and we couldn't really afford for him to go.

Katelyn, Kira, Maya, and I took an Amtrak train to Iowa and back. It was about 30 hours each way. With a newborn it was difficult, but it was worth it to be able to be there for my family. It was our first time ever on a train. We enjoyed doing something new, although it would have been better if it had been about half the amount of time and without a newborn! We spent about 5 days with my mom and my sister. It was a rough week, especially for them.

While we were there, the girls and I went to my friend Dawn's house for supper. Here we are with Dawn and her sons, Brandon and Kyle.
