Six Months Old

Maya Beth turned six months old on March 16 (here she is next to Chester the Bear-we take her picture with him every month). She is getting to be a lot more fun. She has two teeth and loves her baby food and baby crackers. We are finally getting some use out of her swing. For the longest time she wouldn't swing in it more than a couple of minutes without screaming, but now she will happily swing in it and munch on her crackers while she watches us eat, cook, or whatever. She has discovered her own voice and loves to growl and jabber. She scoots all over the place on her back, but hasn't started crawling yet. She just arches her back, digs in her heels, and pushes. She likes to bite everything...her own toes, people's fingers, toys...she has very strong jaws!

Kira has started a preschool for Maya on the weekends...("no child left behind" in the extreme!)...she has classes for her and snack time and recess...the whole nine yards. Maya seems to really enjoy it! Kira has enlisted Katelyn as a "sub" in case she is ever not available. It is so fun to see them enjoy Maya.
