Kira, my mom, and my sister, Becca, went to a couple of national parks down near Moab while I was at work...can't give much of a narative on that since I wasn't there : )

Take a good look of us standing in front of balance rock...Would you guess we were in the middle of a wind and sand storm. Hats had to be chased and faces covered to keep sand out of our eyes. Thank goodness once we left that rock the wind settled a bit.
The picture of us standing with Delicate Arch in the distance is a point of great pride for Grandma Helen. We took the upper view point trail which was 1/2 mile up over step trail and slick stone though still not as bad as the trail that actually takes you under the arch. It took use an hour and a half round trip but Grandma kept working and didn't give up and we made it. We are very proud of our photo!!!!!
I am so glad you guys were able to go! Man...you were only about 7 hours from my house though....the greatest destination of them all!!!
