Happy 13th Birthday, Kira!

Kira turned 13 on August 27.  She wanted to wait to have her birthday party with her friends in September (since she wasn't back to school yet and didn't have all of their phone numbers), so we had a little mini party on her actual birthday...just us and her BFF, Jinsey.

Later we went swimming at the rec center...it was Maya's first time going and she loved it.  Her little swim diaper sticking out cracked me up.

Her sisters were very patient helping her in the pool.

 By this time Maya was 11 month old.    She started walking around 9 1/2 months and within a couple of weeks she was able to walk pretty well without falling down much.  Pretty quickly after she learned to walk she started climbing EVERYTHING.  She especially loves to climb on top of the kitchen table.  She shakes her head "no", loves to play peek-a-boo, and jabbers "ma", "da", "yeah", and other random baby noises.  She loves Elmo, Cookie Monster, Winnie the Pooh, and the TV show "Baby Genius".
