Starting the Room Remodel

We have lived in our little house for almost seven years now, so I am of course totally sick of looking at it's desperate need for painting, etc.  However, I decided to start with a smaller project since Maya is not quite at the age where she would tolerate mommy painting all day.  So the girls and I are redoing their room...not painting walls...redoing their furniture.  We are going to make their room fun and bright.  I love to get furniture at thrift stores and redo it to make it cute.  Kira's old desk had a leg that didn't like to stay on anymore, so we went and got her a different desk at D. I. (I wish I had remembered to take a "before" picture!) and painted it purple and green (looks kinda yellow in this pic, but it isn't).  We think it turned out really fun.  We are going to paint some shelving and the keyboard table next.  Kira wants her stuff purple and green and Katelyn wants hers blue.  This could be a very colorful room.  Once we finish painting all of the furniture that we are going to do we are going to do new bedding and curtains that coordinate.  Should be a fun project for us!
