Another Soccer Weekend

Katelyn's middle school soccer team started up this past week and they had their first game yesterday. At the very beginning of the game it got rainy and windy. I was sitting on my lawn chair...freezing and getting wet...but for once in my life my hyper-organized nature did not have me coming prepared. Since I had no blanket or coat, I wrapped up in this tin foil colored thing we use to block the sun from coming in through the windshield when it is hot. I was expecting Katelyn to tell me how embarassed she was that I did that, but she did not even notice!

One of our neighbors, Courtney, is on Kira's team...here's the three of them at Kira's game.

Kira still loves soccer. This weeks game was a little odd. Half-way through the second half, Kira's coach withdrew her team from the game after a kid got hurt. He was ticked that the teenage refs were not calling fouls. To be honest it was a bit awkward!!!

While Katelyn and I were watching Kira's soccer game, I was looking at the beautiful mountains we have and asked Katelyn, "Why would anyone want to live anywhere besides Utah?" Katelyn said that there are other places that have nice things, too. I asked her "Like what? She said, "beaches". When the kid has a point, the kid has a point.

I agree with the girl. I would rather be next to some beach. Although to mountains are nice.

I am glad the coach stopped to game. If that does not tell the refs they suck...I don't know what else will.
However, I do feel bad for the kids not being able to finish the game.
