Bloggin' About the Girls

Kira and I went to a book signing (Michael Scott who wrote "The Alchemyst", which Kira LOVED). I forgot my camera, so I took a picture with my phone. After several hours of trying I got the mobile blogging to work (sort of indirectly...I emailed the pic to myself from my phone, downloaded it, then uploaded it. Not so sure it was worth the bother...lol) so that I could put the pic on my blog!!! Sorry that I couldn't make the picture any bigger...I tried but it comes out distorted if I do that because I have such a high quality camera phone...NOT. Anyway, Kira has started on book 2 of the series, "The Magician," and is loving that one, too.

OK...now for a Katelyn story. She has this teacher in Junior High that gives them a "word of the week" each week...just to expand their vocabulary. So...a few nights ago at supper we were sitting at the table talking about school. Katelyn tells me that Mr. Brannon's word of the week is urbane. She asks me if I know what it means. I told her I know what urban means...relating to the city. She said that wasn't it...then proceeds to tell me that I am not very urbane. She then defined urbane as being "sophisticated". Sheesh. She is coming up with new and intellectual ways of being insulting. Isn't that just lovely? So glad I went through 6 1/2 hours of labor with no epidural for her.

Saw your post over on Josh and Lisa's blog. Had to come see what bits of wisdom you had to share. I totally died over the "So glad I went through 6 1/2 hours of labor with no epidural for her" comment! lol

Ha ha! Oh I am so not looking forward to the teenager phase. My girls are already quite dramatic. Don't worry, Deb, I think you are very urbaine!

Well isn't she sweet. Don't worry you ARE urban if not urbane!
