Saturday morning Dave and I drove down to Cedar City to get Colton, Bryson, and Chey so that we could have our Christmas celebration. When we got back from Cedar on Saturday night we had a little family time before gift opening. We read an excerpt from Luke 2 (that is apparently so predictable that Bryson knew we were going to do it before we said anything about it) and then each made a list of 5 things we are grateful for...no electronics or toys allowed! After we shared the lists of what we were thankful for, I reminded the kids how blessed they are and told them I hoped that they would remember that all year long. Given the presents under the tree, I am not sure how much any of that sank in. *sigh* All you can do is try, right? Anyway, before gift-opening we took a couple of pictures of them by the tree...
and then the wrapping paper started flying...
Colton got an Henry Thierry soccer jersey (one of his favorite major league soccer players...I had never heard of him either until Colton asked for it)...
Here is Chey with the blanket I made for her. I love Boyd's bears and was sorely tempted to keep it. I also made a blanket with dogs on it for Katelyn and am in the middle of an animal blanket for Kira. (Last year I did blankets for the boys.)
Here is Bryson opening his hi-hat cymbals for his drumset...
And all of the kids with Papa after gift-opening was done...
The Jazz played against Houston, so Colton, Dave, and I watched that. They lost in double-overtime. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! All of the injuries this year are killing them.
Chey played her new Littlest Pet Shop game on her DS Lite...
While Kira played HER new Littlest Pet Shop game on the Wii...
I told Katelyn I wanted a picture of her with the blanket that I made for her (she had already taken it downstairs). The response I got was "uh huh". You will notice that picture is not on here. *sigh* Teenagers...
Hope you all had a great Christmas!
