The fifth grade science fair is next week, so Kira and her friend Jinsey have been working hard on their project. They decided to use Flower, one of our guinea pigs, for their experiment. They had to gather materials, form a hypothesis, outline the process, and draw their own conclusions.

For their experiment, they decided to figure out what the best treat for a guinea pig is. They lined up a carrot, a piece of lettuce, an apple slice, and a piece of celery with peanut butter on it. They tracked the order in which the guinea pig selected treats to eat and drew conclusions.

At the science fair they will have to stand by their displays and tell the kids in the school about what they did. Flower the guinea pig will be attending the science fair in her little cage. It's not due til next week and they are done already! Yahoo!
