This morning the advanced orchestra had a little mini-concert just for the parents. I think they did that mostly for the kids to get practice performing solos in front of people. If they didn't want to do a solo (which Kira didn't), Mrs. B. gave them the option of doing a duet. Kira was supposed to do a duet with another girl, but that girl didn't show, so Kira got to do a solo anyway...she was nervous, but she did great!
Setting up...

The orchestra did a couple of songs together...

Here's the orchestra doing the "Can Can"...
Here's Kira's solo, "Ode to Joy"...
After she performed I took a couple of pictures of her, but she was trying to hide...

We are so proud of how hard she works on learning to play the violin, and how she has the courage to do things even when she doesn't want to!

Kira did a wonderful job. She is AWESOME. She should do more solos!! Mom thinks she did great too.
PS I wonder how my violin feels about being in advanced orchestra? It must be nervous; it only played in one concert the whole time i owned it. lol
