Primary Talk

Kira gave a talk in primary today...thought I would share it...


Heavenly Father sent us to Earth to live with our families. Our families teach us how to make good choices and to do the things that we need to do to return to live with our Father in Heaven such as having family prayer, family home evenings, and reading scriptures together. We should be cheerful and helpful within our families and be considerate of one another's feelings. We should honor our parents. We can do this by being respectful and obedient.

President Thomas S. Monson said, “May we . . . demonstrate kindness and love within our own families. Our homes are to be more than sanctuaries; they should also be places where God’s Spirit can dwell, where the storm stops at the door, where love reigns and peace dwells.”

I am thankful that Heavenly Father gave me a family to help me and take care of me. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
