The Weekend
Dave has been down in Cedar since Thursday and will be down there until Tuesday. Thursday night Bryson had a jazz band concert. He had a drum solo in it (I will post the video when Dave gets back from Cedar...he still has the camera). Saturday night the girls and I went down to meet him and picked up Colton, Bryson, and CheyAnn. We went bowling (holy cow...for seven people that is EXPENSIVE), the kids rode the go-carts at the KOA campground, and we watched "Stardust". The following morning we attended their ward. At the end of Sacrament meeting when they gave out the Mother's Day gift to all of the moms, I was RELIEVED to see that it was NOT a plant. Their ward gave out a CD of hymns. I kill anything green so the CD will be much more useful for me. I remember when Kira was born and I was in the hospital, Aaron's mom brought me a plant. I said, "Mom, you brought me a plant? You know I kill them." She told me not to worry because this plant (some kind of cactus, I think) thrives on neglect. I had it dead in 2 weeks. Anyway, after Sacrament meeting Bryson was ordained a teacher. The girls and I came home later in the afternoon and I had myself a nice Mother's Day nap :) Tonight Dave is going to a variety show at Colton's school. He is singing a solo!!! Who knew he could sing??? I didn't...I am looking forward to seeing the video when Dave gets back. In my spare time I still am working on the website for the business. I should have it finished by the end of the week. Now we are researching advertising methods. Dave is signed up for a few workshops that the state puts on for home business owners (about taxes, different tax groups like LLP and SCorp). We are learning a lot doing this business, that's for sure. Details to follow as soon as I get that website finished. Happy belated Mother's Day, everybody!
