To-do List
So as we are working on getting Katelyn better, one of the things on the to-do list for the hospital is that she is supposed to get up walking at least 4 times a day. Now walking her is no small task because of all of the paraphrenilia (however you spell that) attached to her, and I know that. Yesterday they only got 3 walks in...I was ok with that, but apparently the night nurse wasn't. When Katelyn got up to use the restroom during the night the tech told her that her nurse said she needed to go for a walk while she was up. This was somewhere between 12 and 2 in the morning, I think...I had been asleep awhile. I proceeded to tell the tech that the nurse needed her head examined and we would not be going for a walk in the middle of the night. Mind you, I had been woken out of a sound sleep, so the filter on my mouth was not properly programmed yet. Have you ever heard of such a thing??? When the morning nurse came in this morning she very gingerly approached me about making a walk schedule so Kate doesn't have to walk in the middle of the night. I know how nursing report goes since I used to work at a hospital, and I am sure my comment during the night was discussed. Was I unreasonable? Now that she is pretty much off of the morphine and only using Lortab, Kate is awake during the day pretty much...especially since people come in and out of her room all day long. I think the kid is entitled to some sleep!!!

If there's anything I learned with Izzy's hospital stays...mother knows best! As long as you're in a sane poistion, keep being a part of the decision making process. Wow! I still haven't caught what caused all this...? Crazy...sorry. Also your sister-in-law. So sad. Call me when you can/need me. Hang in there. Loves.
