Christmas

The past month has just flown by. Between all of the shopping and my usual working, cleaning, & kids, before I knew it Christmas was here! We had a wonderful Christmas. This Christmas was especially special to us because it was the first time ever that we have had all five of the kids together on Christmas Day. Colton, Bryson, & CheyAnn were up here for a week and we had a great visit with them. We enjoyed Christmas traditions and our time together.

On Christmas Eve we read Luke 2, made treats & a turkey, played Secret Santa to a family we love, and the kids each got to open one gift. The three girls got robes (Kira & Chey got them from me...Katelyn got hers from her dad & his wife). The boys got T-shirts.

Christmas morning we opened presents at home...

Then we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Needles' house for a very fun family Christmas. The cousins had a great time hanging out together, visiting and playing "Just Dance" on the Wii (Katelyn got it for Christmas...it's the most fun exercise EVER!!!).

We opened presents...

We had a fun talent show...any of the cousins that wanted to could perform. Kira & CheyAnn did a duet of "Away in a Manger". Colton played piano & sang "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire". Bryson played drums. Kira was also in her cousin, Megan's talent. Megan's talent was being a game show host on "So You Think You Can Random Dance". They used Kira's I-carly Remote that she got for Christmas. It was really cute.

All in all, it was a great Christmas. I am so thankful for all of the family that took time out of their busy schedules to come to Salt Lake. I am also grateful for my mother-in-law who, in spite of having hand surgery on Dec. 8, managed to host a fabulous family get-together. It was a great time!

It was SO fun! It is always hard to fit it all in but I am always so glad we do and never want it to end!
