Birthdays in Cedar City
August 15 we made an overnight trip down to Cedar City and stayed in the KOA Kampground Kabins. Note to self: the air conditioners in those are not great...take a fan! Anyway, we went down and celebrated birthdays...Bryson's 15th (which was in May, but we haven't been able to go down sooner because of Dave's back surgery recovery), Colton's 17th, and CheyAnn & Kira's 12th. It was a short trip, but we were sure glad to get to have some time together. We made foil dinners and roasted marshmallows over the fire, had birthday cake, the kids rode the go-karts, and we mostly just enjoyed some time together. Sure was hot, though! In the KOA theater (which is really a room with theater seats and a big screen TV), the kids and I watched the movie "Evolution" while Dave rested his back at the cabin. If you haven't seen "Evolution", you should see it. Not David Duchovny's best work, but I thought it was worth seeing once : )
